![]() What is the story chronology of these books? ![]() To date, there are three stand-alone novels (Outbound Flight, Choices of One, and Survivor’s Quest) three trilogies (Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy, Star Wars: Thrawn, and Thrawn Ascendancy ) and one duology ( Hand of Thrawn).ģ. Despite being labeled a villain, Thrawn isn’t an evil or bad person: he simply felt the Empire was the better choice (as opposed to the Republic/Rebels) to serve as an indirect means of protecting the Chiss from harm.Ģ. He is seen as a brilliant strategist as well as a master tactician, admirer and analyzer of art, and highly respected by his crew. The ballad of the salt sea (Corto Maltese) by Hugo Pratt The ballad of the salt sea was my first Corto Maltese and Hugo Pratt. Although Corto presents himself as a man only looking out for himself, the pair soon realizes the adventurer may be their best hope for survival. His fate is soon entangled with those of fellow castaways Cain and Pandora, two teenagers caught in the fray. In this debut of a new English-language edition of the classic anti-hero Corto Maltese, we meet the protagonist as he is fished from the sea by Rasputin, the disreputable captain of an even worse crew than Corto’s. ![]() ![]() The scholarly protagonist(s) doomed to an untimely end, an uncanny creature out to kill, and a general sense of terror that when seeking knowledge in the world, all you learn is that you will not survive.
